Terms of Service

By creating a VendaVault account, you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable. If anything is unclear, ask us at support@vendapay.net.

Service operator: A Caribbean Development-focused fintech partnership between Nomal Online Business Services Ltd. and HopSync Technologies LLC, headquartered in Montego Bay, Jamaica and McLean, Virginia, USA. Operating the VendaVault service at vault.vendapay.net.
Governing law: Jamaica.

1. What VendaVault is

VendaVault is a service that:

  • Captures and securely stores your payment cards, replacing them with tokens that merchants can charge without ever seeing your card number.
  • Will (Phase B) provide a digital wallet you can fund with cash at participating Bill Express agents and spend at participating merchants.

VendaVault is not a bank, is not deposit insured, and does not pay interest on wallet balances.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be a resident of Jamaica or another jurisdiction we explicitly support.
  • You must complete identity verification (KYC) before transacting.

3. Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping your email, phone, and devices secure.
  • Anyone who clicks a valid magic link from your email or types a valid one-time code can sign in. Report compromise immediately to support@vendapay.net.
  • You may not share your account or use it on behalf of someone else.

4. KYC and AML obligations

To comply with the Jamaica Proceeds of Crime Act and applicable Bank of Jamaica guidelines, we are required to:

  • Verify your identity before activating your account.
  • Screen you against sanctions lists, politically exposed persons lists, and adverse media — both at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.
  • Freeze your account if your name appears on a sanctions list or if our risk engine identifies a structuring, velocity, or cross-merchant anomaly that crosses our threshold.
  • Report suspicious transactions to the Financial Investigations Division (FID) as required by law.

You agree to provide accurate information for KYC and to cooperate with reasonable additional verification requests.

5. Card tokenisation

When you save a card, you authorise VendaVault to:

  • Store your card details inside our encrypted vault.
  • Authorise transactions on your behalf at merchants you have chosen to pay.
  • Periodically refresh your card details via the Visa Account Updater or Mastercard Automatic Billing Updater so your subscriptions continue working after your physical card expires.

You can delete a saved card at any time from your dashboard. Deletion is irreversible.

6. Cash wallet (Phase B)

When the cash wallet feature goes live, additional terms specific to deposits, agent reconciliation, and balance limits will apply. They will be presented to you before you make your first deposit.

7. Fees

Opening and maintaining a VendaVault account is free. Per-transaction fees, if any, are presented to you before you confirm a payment. Phase B cash-deposit fees will be agreed with our partner agent network and disclosed before your first deposit.

8. Disputes and chargebacks

If you do not recognise a transaction, contact us at support@vendapay.net within 60 days. We will investigate and, where appropriate, initiate a chargeback through the card network.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time via your dashboard. We may close or suspend your account if you breach these terms, if our AML obligations require it, or if your account has been inactive for over twelve months.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Jamaican law, our liability for any single incident is limited to the lesser of (a) the amount of the affected transaction(s) and (b) JMD 500,000. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, opportunity cost, reputational harm).

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under Jamaican law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Jamaican courts.
